There’s nothing Kishor doesn’t know about fishing the coastline of Mauritius. He’s been doing it since he was a boy. Look out at the beach in the morning, and you’ll see the standing fishermen on the black volcanic rocks or waist-deep in the lagoon. Their rods are homemade, their bait is small, and their patience is huge. However he catches his catch, he brings it to our kitchen fresh as can be. Climb aboard his wooden pirogue and learn the ins and outs of fishing.
